Laci Pedals Past Cancer
A special bike for a special little girl
Laci is a beautiful, vibrant girl who used to find joy in the little things, but her favorite thing to do was to bike and feel her hair breeze through the wind. Before cancer changed everything, she was full of life and laughter, a light to everyone who knew her.
Today, Laci is fighting for her life against a rare and aggressive bone cancer. She’s already endured a 30-hour surgery to have her leg amputated and her pelvis reconstructed, just to give her a chance at recovery. It’s been a painful and exhausting journey—physically and emotionally.
The toll it’s taken on such a young soul has been heartbreaking, but she's endured it all. "She's the strongest girl I know" says her mother who is continuously astounded by her strength and see her grow up through the challenges.
Laci has become more self-conscious of her body, often shying away from things she used to love. We don’t want cancer to take away her happiness, her confidence, or her beautiful spirit.

We believe that with a little help from all of us, Laci can regain the joy and freedom that cancer has tried to steal from her. That’s why we’re raising funds to give her something incredibly special ryde—a bike that is customized to fit only her.

This isn’t just any bike. It’s a symbol of her strength and resilience. It’s a way for her to feel the rush of wind in her hair again, to feel the joy of pedaling through her neighborhood, and to reclaim that feeling of freedom she once had.

We want to hear Laci’s infectious laugh again, to see her outside with her friends, her mom, and her family. We want to give her back a piece of her childhood that cancer has tried to take away.

How You Can Help

Your donation will go toward purchasing a TriAid Cycle, designed to support Laci’s needs as she learns to ride again. This bike will have everything she needs to make the ride smooth, safe, and enjoyable—like an option drive, foot sandals, leg calibers, and a control pole for her mom to help her balance and control her ride while she learns. She's a smart girl, so we are confident she'll learn fast. We can already see her zipping up and down the neighborhood with a big smile on her face.

If we’re able to raise more than $2600, the cost of the bike, we’ll use the extra funds to give Laci and her mom a memorable day together in Temple, Texas. Laci will enjoy a makeover, a professional photoshoot, and a special dinner at her favorite local restaurant—something to remind her and her family that joy, love, and life are worth fighting for.
